53rd Annual Delaware Show

Dear Friends: Welcome to the annual Delaware Antiques Show, the premier presentation of the very best in Americana. As a cultural highlight of the fall season, the show offers not only an unparalleled assemblage of decorative and fine arts objects but an outstanding cast of featured speakers as well. This much-anticipated gathering of dealers, collectors, volunteers, and guests, now in its 53rd year, is unmatched in its ability to both educate and entertain. The show benefits the numerous educational programs at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, the former home of collector, horticulturist, and preservationist Henry Francis du Pont. With a keen eye for recognizing the best of the best—whether it be furniture, textiles, or a particular variety of azalea— H. F. du Pont would certainly approve of the quality offered at the show year after year. Over the past several years, it has been our privilege to serve as Honorary Chairs for this outstanding event, which attracts scholars, collectors, and academics from across the country to enjoy the best of Delaware hospitality and heritage. The contributions of countless volunteers make this one of the state’s premier events. We thank you, all our guests, for once again helping to make this year better than ever. Sincerely, Jack & Carla Markell Governor and First Lady of Delaware — 1 —
