Winterthur’s acquisition of an unassuming mahogany double cabinet at the 2016 Delaware Antiques Show opened the door to the study of an object with a truly remarkable story. Join us for a fascinating glimpse into the complex history of the cabinet and its active role in the transatlantic trade networks that transported shiploads of goods and captive people during the 18th and 19th centuries.
