An exceptional bronze replica of the Delphi Charioteer, wearing the traditional xystis and having the characteristic amber eyes. Commissioned in 1950 by the celebrated sculptor Felix de Weldon (1907-2003) from a cast of the ca. 474 BC original Hellenic work. An “Oak Tree”, or rustic twig, pattern cast-iron seat, the seat and arms cast as branches with acorn clusters on conforming trunk feet, English, ca. 1880, 39.5 ins. wide. A rare zinc figure of Diana de Gabii, likely Geiss Foundry, Berlin, Germany, ca. 1880, 67 ins. high. A cast-iron seat in the Gothic style, with pierced seat, tracery on back and apron, and radiating semi-circular pattern at arms, possibly Scottish, 57 ins. wide.
