An optional fundraiser will be held the evening before at a private residence. Built by Charles Elliott circa 1770, the home is among the largest “single” houses dating to the 18th century and retains its original interior woodwork and paneling with elaborate rococo carvings. The evening is to support the next generation of curators and academics through Drayton Hall’s Wood Family Fellowship Fund and the Trust’s Emerging Scholars Program.
