Dealers are invited to bring pieces from antiquity to present day. The show also features a popular Lecture Series, Cocktail Hour Talks and other programming. Show Chair and interior designer Suzanne Tucker put it this way, “For anyone interested in art and design, furniture and the decorative arts, whether buying, collecting, or simply learning about art and antiques, this show is not to be missed. It’s a Bay Area ‘Must Do!’ of the fall social season with four wonderful, vibrant days filled with terrific dealers, fascinating lectures, and gobs of eye candy.” The Grand Entry Hall will feature four Designer Vignettes created by prominent designers, each incorporating objects borrowed from the exhibitors and wall coverings exclusively developed in collaboration with de Gournay. This year’s Vignette Designers are Charlotte Moss, Ken Fulk, Madeline Stuart, and The Wiseman Group. The show theme is The Sun, The Moon, & The Stars: Celestial Imagery in Art, Antiques, & Design. Glittering, glowing, and geometrically powerful, celestial objects have been popular motifs in art, antiques, design, and literature for centuries and have long been inspiration to artists and artisans, as seen through dealer offerings at the show. The Show is the major fundraiser for Enterprise for Youth, which since 1969 has prepared and empowered a diverse group of Bay Area youth through workshops, training, and programs to prepare them for the future.
