Charleston Antiques Show 2016

2016 / 45 Thank you for your generosity in supporting Historic Charleston Foundation through your Charleston Antiques Show ticket purchase. Historic Charleston Foundation created the nation’s first revolving fund in 1957. Through it, the Ansonborough Rehabilitation Project revitalized an entire neighborhood and set an example for preservation organizations across the country. Improvements were made on nearly 100 buildings in Ansonborough alone, and the ripple e ect was groundbreaking. In recent years, the Foundation’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative has enabled us to preserve a wider range of historic architecture and at the same time to address housing a ordability. Through a productive partnership with Charleston Habitat for Humanity and the City of Charleston, the Foundation has helped to rehabilitate two historic houses for existing homeowners and is currently working on a third. These projects represent only a portion of the successes we have achieved with your support. Photo Credit: Brown Architecture AFTER BEFORE
