The Newport Historical Society presents A R E -E NACTMENT OF THE 1765 A FREE LIVING HISTORY EVENT Saturday, August 29, 2015, 1–5pm Washington Square, Newport, Rhode Island ActProtest During this free afternoon living history event, meet craftspeople whose businesses were once present in Washington Square, such as a printer, tailor and milliner. Chat with historic interpreters portraying sailors, rabble rousers and prominent citizens. Events include a lady’s tea and children’s games; reenactments including an effigy demonstration, a “ransacking” of the NHS house museum and street theater.
