An exceptional and rare bronze fountain figure by American sculptor Frederick William MacMonnies (1863-1937) entitled Boy and Duck , comprised of a boy with jubilant expression holding a duck, the duck piped for water, with a turtle at the boy’s feet, the fountain figure atop a cylindrical marble base encircled with bronze ducks, each with wings outspread and beaks piped for water, turtle inscribed “F. MacMonnies”, modeled in 1897, cast by Roman Bronze Works ca. 1902. Overall height 44 ins. Provenance: Collection Richard J.
