From the Lake No. 3 is one of her most abstract paintings inspired by those surroundings. Abandoning traditional landscape elements such as the flat surface of the lake or a clear horizon, she embraced the colors in the earth, water, trees, and sky, evoking a sense of the place without depicting its literal qualities.
