102 French Prisoner of War Bone Model Circa 1790–1815 Thirty Eight Gun Frigate made from chicken bones, ham bones, and beef bones (the only type bone prisoners had available). Frigates of this size had both 24 lb. guns and 9-12 lb. guns. This model has both. The model has Twenty eight guns showing, with the others behind partially open windows. Boats of this type served in the French Revolution, many later came to America. The model has been completely restored and is in excellent condition. All bone is original, while rigging lines are new. Fabulous model and quite rare. Size: 25” long x 4” beam (9” wide Yard) x 19” high from base of cradle to top of main mast.
