Pleasant” in Ridgeley, Hampshire County [now Mineral County, West] Virginia. Dial signed “Frederick - Buster” and gear incised “J.B” for John or James Buster and “J. Hoover”, clockmakers of Frederick County, Maryland. Case Maryland or Virginia. Dated “1796” on the movement. Walnut primary with light and darkwood inlays; poplar secondary.
