Two great and special carved & painted pull-toy horses with horsehair mane & tail. Late 19th Century. Sizes: 14" H x 15¼" L x 5" D; 15" H x 16¼" L x 5½" D Carved & painted with rosemaling horsehead kasa drinking vessel. Norwegian, Late 19th C. Size: 6" H x 11¾" W x 6" D Small carving of double mermaids on a carved rope base. Attributed to the mysterious “Cape Carver.” American, Late 19th Century. Size: 2½" H x 5" L x 1¾" D Magnificent carved bear on a sled tobacco box. The bear is sitting on ram skin rug while sliding through the snow. Swiss, Late 19th Century. Size: 12½" H x 13¾" L Faux painted box that allegedly belonged to Capt. Francis Gorham of Barnstable, MA. Box painted with compass rose, rope, stars, wood grain, and painted handles on both sides (some splits in the wood). Size: 9" H x 16" W x 12½" D
