A FINE THREE-PLATE ROCOCO OVAL MIRROR A fine three-plate rococo oval mirror, crested by an oval surmounted with an acanthus spray, flanked by rocaille, with ho-ho birds perched on foliated c- and s-scrolls that flank a large central plate, the central plate rests atop a smaller oval plate flanked by c-scrolls and centered by a cabochon. English Circa 1750 Height: 69 inches Width: 30 inches FALL FRONT CABINET ON STAND A magnificent fall front cabinet on stand with original japanning throughout the cabinet, having brass handles, the interior having a series of pigeonholes over a row of three drawers, over two doors, over two drawers on either side. The cabinet rests on a stand with a gilded edge on a japanned cavetto moulding over four cabriole legs, terminating in pad feet. The japanning is very unusual as it depicts paired fruits with tendrils and leaves. There is a rondel on the outside of the fall front with pagodas and people sitting by water with an ancient tree. Replaced lock.
