49th Annual Delaware Show

Winterthur founder Henry Francis du Pont’s colorful dinner tables were designed like stage sets and showcased meticulously arranged flowers, jewel-toned glassware, and more than 50 sets of china, which were endlessly arranged in unique combinations. This special exhibition underscores H. F. du Pont’s extraordinary sensitivity to color, whether it was in the garden, his collection, his interior design, or his style of entertaining. As he reminded an interviewer in 1962, “I think color is the thing that really counts more than any other.” LOAN SHOW EXHIBITION Color Counts
