50th Annual Delaware Show

Dear Friends: Welcome to the 50th annual Delaware Antiques Show. What a cause for celebration and a wonderful opportunity for reflection and thanks. I have had the great pleasure of being associated with the show since the inaugural event in 1964. Over the following forty-nine years, I have watched the show evolve into the respected, must-attend affair that it is today. The success can be credited to the work of many hands: the dedicated volunteers who provide untold hours of assistance; enthusiastic dealers who kindly share their knowledge; generous sponsors who underwrite the educational lectures and loan shows; and collectors who patronize the top-flight dealers. These are all integral components of a successful show—components that have consistently formed the foundation of the annual Delaware Antiques Show. The high standards set by the original organizers are still with us today. The memories and friendships I have acquired over the years are irreplaceable. My involvement as show chair and on various committees has been a labor of love, as I know it has been for many others. I am delighted to have this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed in any way to our success. The list is long. Finally, I extend a warm welcome to all our guests this year and invite one and all to join us in celebrating this important milestone with yet another successful show.
