About Donald L. Fennimore Donald L. Fennimore, curator emeritus, served as metalwork specialist atWinterthurMuseum for thirty-four years. In addition to his work as a consultant and lecturer, he is a prolific author. The list of his publications includes Stretch: America’s First Family of Clockmakers (2013); Silversmiths to the Nation: Thomas Fletcher and Sidney Gardiner (2007); Iron at Winterthur (2004) ; and Metalwork in Early America (1996). About Frank L. Hohmann III Frank L. Hohmann III, a retired Wall Street executive, is a collector of eighteenth-century furniture, with a concentration on brass dial clocks. He has co-authored and published the volumes Captured Motion: The Sculpture of Harriet Whitney Frishmuth, a Catalogue of Works (2006); Timeless: Masterpiece American Brass Dial Clocks (2009); and Stretch: America’s First Family of Clockmakers (2013). He is a Trustee of Winterthur Museum and a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. BARBARA PAUL ROBINSON Rosemary Verey: The Life and Lessons of a Legendary Gardener Sunday, November 10, 2:00 pm Pusey & Jones Room Esteemed gardener, lecturer, and writer Barbara Paul Robinson will reveal her close association with English garden legend Rosemary Verey and discuss Verey’s profound contributions to the field of landscape design. As the acknowledged apostle of the “English style,” on display at her home at Barnsley House in the Cotswolds of England, Verey was considered the “must have” adviser to the rich and famous, including Prince Charles and Elton John. Book signing to follow. About Barbara Paul Robinson Barbara Paul Robinson is the author of Rosemary Verey: The Life and Lessons of a Legendary Gardener, the first and only biography on Verey. She is a frequent speaker for horticultural organizations and garden clubs, serves on the boards of Wave Hill and Stonecrop, and is director emerita and former vice president of the Garden Conservancy. While on sabbatical from her professional life as the first woman partner in the international law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton, Robinson worked as a gardener for Verey at Barnsley House, Gloucestershire. She has published articles in the New York Times, Horticulture, Fine Gardening, and Hortus and authored a chapter in The Secret Garden by Verey. Weekend lectures sponsored by — 5 —
