ADA Show 2013

Dear Friend: Columbus Day Weekend in New England is the peak of autumn and here in the Connecticut River Valley we look forward to the promise of vibrant colors, crisp cool days, cider, pumpkins, and the return of the ADA/Historic Deerfield Antiques Show! It is my privilege to welcome you to experience this annual celebration of antiques and decorative arts. Held on the beautiful campus of Deerfield Academy, the show is one of the most highly regarded on the East Coast. The Historic Deerfield museum also offers many wonderful experiences for visitors. Please plan to take a few moments to tour the historic houses, and to view the exhibitions at the Flynt Center of Early New England Life including the new show Tea Talk: Ritual and Refinement in Early New England Parlors and Historic Deerfield’s contribution to the Four Centuries of Massachusetts Furniture collaborative, the Furniture Masterworks: Tradition and Innovation in Western Massachusetts exhibit, featured in the Wright House. Collectors are encouraged to call ahead and arrange for a private, customized VIP tour of the museum collections with Historic Deerfield’s Master Guides. Explore Historic Deerfield with your own personal Master Guide leading the way (2–6 people). Please call Lillian Miskinis, Visitor Services Manager, at (413) 775-7132 or e-mail tours@historic-deerfield.org with “TBA Request” in the subject line. There’s no place like Deerfield in the fall and the best time to visit is when the ADA/Historic Deerfield Antiques Show is in town. I look forward to seeing you soon. Philip Zea, President
