2015 / 15 FOOD FOR THOUGHT LUNCHEON LECTURES This series of entertaining and educational talks features different speakers daily, along with a casual lunch. Participants will also enjoy a brief walking tour or experience that relates to the day’s topic. Tickets are $45; reservations required. MUSICAL CONCERTS The concert series gives guests the experience of listening to period music in intimate historic settings. Tickets are $30 ($35 for the Bluegrass Jamboree on April 8). CIRCA 1886 WINE TASTINGS Conclude your house and garden tour with a splendid afternoon sampling of fine wine hosted by The Wine Shop and Circa 1886. HARBOR OF HISTORY BOAT CRUISES Tuesday, March 31; Monday, April 6; and Friday, April 10: 1:15 – 3:30 p.m. Join a local historian aboard the Spirit of Carolina for this panoramic perspective of the South’s most historic seaport, whose fame, fortunes and fate illustrate its ongoing link with the sea. Cruise includes hors d’oeuvres, a wine or beer ticket, and soft drinks. Tickets are $45 for adults; $20 for children ages 6–12; children under six free. Reservations required. PLANTATION PICNIC AND OYSTER ROAST Tuesday, March 24; and Friday, April 3; 4:30 – 7 p.m. Enjoy steamed oysters as appetizers, along with other Southern cuisine, beer, wine and soft drinks.
