Extremely rare early variation, few examples of this 18-inch, circa 1905 “Tyler Form” shade exist, and by 1910 the elaborate design was phased out in favor of the conical version. The iconic Wisteria Lamp is one of the rare Tiffany Lamp models designed and retailed by Tiffany Studios as a single unit. The design pairs a highly complex leaded glass shade with nearly 1,000 hand-cut pieces depicting pendant wisteria blossoms with a naturalistic patinated bronze “Tree Trunk” base. Long known as “Jack in the Pulpit,” after the northeastern woodland flower, original Tiffany records indicate that this was actually named the “Calla” Vase, after the Calla Lily.
