Perfect for a layered lighting effect, with large shades of mouth blown champagne yellow glass underlaying a top dome in brass. Beautifully proportioned with a tapered central brass stem and circular brass base. LEFT: Hans-Agne Jakobsson Perforated Brass Chandelier, Model T 526 for Markaryd, 1960s. Perforated brass shades emit delicate pinpoints of light, and the relatively compact proportions make it particularly suitable for more intimate interiors. RIGHT: Early Alvar Aalto Spring Chair Model 31, Bent Plywood and Birch, Artek 1940s. One of the most iconic and finest furniture works from Alvar Aalto, the model 42 chair, also known as the spring chair, “Pikku Paimio” or “Small Paimio “in English.
