The collection includes: over 1,500 shelf feet of Newport records dating to the 17th century; approximately 20,000 pieces of fine art, maps, textiles and clothing, household goods, furniture, scientific and medical equipment; over 200,000 photographs; and the library is comprised of more than 12,000 volumes including many rare books.
