Newport Show 2017

This past spring the Newport Antiques Show lost its Honorary Co-Chair, Dorrance Hill Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was involved from the very beginning, and helped champion the Show every year for a decade, inspiring and assisting her daughter-in-law, our Show Chair, Anne. Known by many as “Dodo”, she believed that the Newport community would enjoy, support and benefit from a high-end Antiques Show. She was right. Dodo’s presence at the Show was a source of positive energy and enthusiasm. She would arrive early, always gorgeously attired, select purchases and converse with dealers. She was a major support for the Show’s co-beneficiaries, the Newport Historical Society and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. We are grateful for her participation. While Dodo’s is missed at this year’s event, we celebrate her life of philanthropy and achievement.
