2019 Newport Show

In Memoriam Hope Powel Alexander Among Hope’s many services to this community was a long term on the Board of Directors of the Newport Historical Society, where she also served as an officer. At the end of 2006, when Anne Hamilton approached this Board with the idea of creating a high-end antiques show as an annual event, Hope was one of the few who was both fearless and decisive: “We should do this.” And, she prevailed. The 2019 Newport Show is dedicated to three original supporters who left us this past year. Original, in that all three helped make and shape the Show and because each was a person of unique and admirable character. 4
