Philadelphia Antiques & Art Show 2017

Greetings Everyone! We are so excited to welcome you – for the 55 th year in a row! – to The Philadelphia Antiques & Art Show . A cherished institution for more than half a century, the Show offers visitors the best of traditional approaches as well as fresh perspectives on our Colonial American and British heritage, showcasing gorgeous art and antiques, jewelry, crafts and more. Once again, the Navy Yard hosts the Show in a fabulous tent on the Marine Parade Grounds. Although the Show lasts just a few days, bringing it to you to enjoy is a year-long labor of love. Many dedicated people worked together for months contributing their various talents to produce this distinguished Show, and it is our privilege to recognize them here. First, we must acknowledge the tremendous support of the administration of Penn Medicine, our Beneficiary. We sincerely thank Ralph Muller, Chief Executive Officer of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Dr. Peter Quinn, Vice-Dean for Professional Services and Senior Vice-President, and Kevin Mahoney, executive vice president and chief administrative officer for the University of Pennsylvania Health System and executive vice dean for integrative services for the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Their trust and confidence in us, as well as their generous support and those of their staff is deeply appreciated. Finally, the talented individuals of Penn Medicine Development have been invaluable partners, and our sincerest thanks go out to Kate Griffo, Jules Spaeth and the entire team for their kindness and energetic support. We proudly acknowledge our management professionals, Diana Bittel and Karen and Ralph DiSaia, who have worked so hard and with great innovation to produce this dynamic Show. Of course, we simply couldn’t do the Show without our many volunteers. We appreciate the loyalty and dedication of so many who shared their time and skills for the success of the Show. We are so grateful to all the corporate and individual underwriters who acted so charitably to support our fundraising goals for Penn Medicine. In particular, our appreciation goes to Freemans, AIG and Penn First for their generous and unwavering commitment. We extend a special salute to our 59 dealers who provided an extraordinary selection of premium antiques and fine art. We honor them this year with a new Loan Exhibit titled, “What So Proudly We Hail.” Our heartfelt thanks to all as we extend the warmest welcome to the thousands of Show attendees.
