9 This page sponsored by Tricia and Bob Pinkard in honor of the Bishop Walker School I t is our great honor and privilege to serve as Co-Chairs of the 2016 Washington Winter Antique Show and to welcome you to this year’s show with the theme Through the Eyes of a Child . The 2016 Show benefits three outstanding charities: Bishop T. Walker School for Boys, THEARC, and The Founders Board of St. John’s Community Services. On behalf of the 2016 Washington Winter Show Committee, we are pleased to welcome Her Excellency the Ambassador of Ireland Anne Anderson. The loan exhibit this year, Through the Eyes of a Child: John Mason’s Memories of Gunston Hall , showcases 18th century objects from the collection of George Mason’s Gunston Hall. The objects in the exhibition take us back to Mason’s time through the writing of his youngest son, John. We wish to thank Scott Stroh, the Executive Director of Gunston Hall, and Rebecca Martin, Curator of the Gunston Hall Loan Exhibit. Their enthusiasm and talent have created an amazing exhibit that highlights the importance of passing down the tradition of collecting and its place in preserving history. We are deeply appreciative for the enthusiastic support of our sponsors, benefactors, and patrons whose generosity benefits some of the most needy children and families in our community. It is an honor to have the support of PNC Bank, our Presenting Sponsor, once again this year. We are delighted to have the Show at the Katzen Arts Center at American University. We thank our 44 Exhibitors for their participation in the Show this year, many of whom have been part of the Show for many years and whose continued support makes this one of the finest antique shows in the country. We extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to the Washington Winter Show Board of Directors, whose passion, support, and encouragement helped us tremendously over the past year. Finally, it has been a true honor and pleasure to work with such a creative, inspired, and dedicated group of volunteers who continue to bring new life and fresh ideas to the Show. We would like to recognize and applaud the tremendous efforts of this wonderful group of volunteers. The Washington Winter Show Committee has embraced the theme of this year’s Show with great enthusiasm and brought the vision for the Show to life.
