Washington Winter Show 2016

97 Two Rare Windsor Children’s Chairs Circa 1865–70 Two 19th century Windsor youth chairs with identical style and decoration. First is an armchair with nicely turned spindles, legs and stretcher base. Second is an identically styled highchair. Both with overall body paint decorated with black over red paint with gilt highlights. The backrests are both decorated with a wonderful American three-masted sailing vessel flying an American flag. The high chair shows considerable use to the paint, and is sound. The arm chair shows much less use and is also very sound. Arm Chair size: 22½" high to the top of the back rest. High Chair size: 32" high to the top of the back rest.
