The Fund to Conserve is a 501(c)(3), independent, non-profit, nonpartisan private sector partner to the U.S. State Department’s Office of Cultural Heritage, part of the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations. The Pontalba Salon, pictured above, in the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence, Paris. The historic residence and decorative arts pieces which grace the interior rooms represent dozens of diplomatic and cultural heritage stories of Franco-American friendship. As is typical for ambassadorial residences across the globe, the Paris residence serves as a diplomatic venue for political, cultural and economic meetings, and special events almost daily throughout the year.
