This French ring nicely illustrates the joie de vivre of the Bel Epoque, the period in France following the Franco-Prussian War and leading up to WW1 which brought the world such technological and artistic achievements as the Eiffel Tower and the Paris Opera. A Bel Epoque in miniature, this ring has gold lattice shoulders set to a textured wide band and is studded with geometric gold squares symmetrically affixed to the open lattice gold work. The intrinsic beauty of the rare gemstones that serve as this ring’s focal point while the diamond border at the top and bottom are the finishing touch of this important ring.
