The bow motif began in France and quickly spread throughout Europe. Antique bow rings with this color palette of high karat gold and emeralds from the Iberian Peninsula were highly sought after. The hand-work on this ring, with its pie crust border and round bulbous gold shapes which form the bow, is exceptional.
