What began as a vision for a shared nonprofit campus is now a model for community-rooted development that removes barriers and preserves Southeast D.C.’s culture. With the opening of THEARC in 2005, we united nonprofits to serve families through education, arts, health, and social services. We later launched the iCAN Technical Theater Internship, THEARC Farm, and the Skyland Workforce Center. Today, our work grows with THEARC Phase IV, bringing the Washington School for Girls to one campus, and the 11th Street Bridge Park, D.C.’s first elevated public park designed to reconnect neighborhoods. Our mission remains clear: to provide best-in-class programs and partnerships that connect people to resources and empower the next generation in Southeast D.C. Support Today! 600+
