Under the theme “A PLACE TO CALL HOME CELEBRATING 250 YEARS OF THE AMERICAN HOME HERE & ABROAD,” we invite you to explore how cultural exchange, design innovation, and historic preservation have shaped the places we cherish most. Our theme o ers an opportunity to re ect on how historical events, global exchanges, and evolving aesthetics have shaped where we live: • From early Colonial homes and diplomatic residencies to modern, hybrid spaces re ecting today’s preferences. • How artifacts, design practices, and international in uences have infused our homes and public diplomacy e orts. • The ongoing importance of stewardship—whether preserving historic houses, sustaining embassy properties abroad, or nurturing sustainable design practices at home.
