FEATURED LECTURE MARGARET BECK PRITCHARD Deputy Chief Curator, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation More Than Meets the Eye: What Maps of Early America Reveal Sunday, November 13, 2:00 pm Pusey & Jones Room Honorary Co-Chair of the Delaware Antiques Show, Margaret Beck Pritchard is one of the country’s leading experts on early American maps. Having served as Colonial Williamsburg’s senior curator of prints, maps, and wallpaper, she recently was named deputy chief curator. She has written on William Byrd II of Westover and naturalist Mark Catesby and is co-curator of Colonial Williamsburg’s current landmark exhibition A Rich and Varied Culture: The Material World of the Early South. Her early training included a year-long internship with Winterthur Curator of Textiles Susan B. Swan. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Decorative Arts Trust and is a trustee of Old Salem Museums and Gardens/Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts.
