KEYNOTE LECTURE CHARLOTTE MOSS The Pursuit of Beauty: Thirty Years in Design Friday, November 9, 10:00 am Dravo Auditorium Recently honored with the New York School of Interior Design’s Centennial Medal and named to Elle Decor ’s Grand Masters list of top designers, Honorary Chair Charlotte Moss is celebrating thirty-three years in the design business. Moss is a prolific author, having published ten books to date. Her most recent title, Charlotte Moss Entertains (Rizzoli, 2018), will be a feature of her presentation at this year’s show. In addition to her residential interior design projects, Charlotte designs fabric and trim for Fabricut; carpets and sisals for Stark Carpet; china for Pickard; and most recently, a collection of furniture and upholstery for Century Furniture. Last year, she launched a clothing collection with IBU, a groundbreaking apparel and accessories brand of handcrafted pieces by women artisans in developing countries around the world. This fall, she introduces a jewelry collection with P. E. Guerin hardware based on designs from their archive. Charlotte lectures widely and considers philanthropy some of her most important work. Recognized for her numerous contributions to a variety of causes, Charlotte has been honored with the Guild Hall’s Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropic Endeavors; The Royal Oak Foundation’s Timeless Design Award; House Works’ Groundbreakers Award; The Bone Marrow Foundation’s Brandon Tartikoff Award; the Edith Wharton Women of Achievement Award, and as Honorary Trustee of The American Hospital of Paris.
