ZIMMERMAN Historic Odessa: New Findings in an Old Collection Saturday, November 8, 2:00 pm Pusey & Jones Room The Corbit-Sharp and Wilson-Warner houses in Odessa are two of the finest Georgian structures in the state. Presenting a well-documented picture of small-town life in early Delaware, both contain an engaging mix of furnishings, some of which have never left the premises. The Historic Odessa Foundation took over ownership of the properties in 2005 and has been researching its holdings in depth. Join us for this illustrated presentation highlighting new findings, the diversity of the collections, and a few surprises! Join keynote speaker and honorary chair Jessica Fellowes for her special insights into the Downton Abbey phenomenon. An author, journalist, historian, and public speaker, Fellowes may be most widely known as the author of the best-selling book The World of Downton Abbey, its follow-up Chronicles of Downton Abbey, and the much-anticipated forthcoming A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey. The former deputy editor of Country Life magazine, her articles have appeared in the New York Times and Globe and Mail. Fellowes is also the niece of Julian Fellowes, the creator and script writer of the award-winning television series Downton Abbey.
