Charleston Antiques Show 2013

2013 / 9 10 TH A NNIVERSARY O n behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of Historic Charleston Foundation, welcome to the 10th annual Charleston Antiques Show. Since 1947, the Foundation has been a national pioneer in developing and implementing historic preservation initiatives. Through advocacy, archaeology, research, decorative arts collections, museum house interpretations and our easement and educational programs, we have helped protect and revitalize the history and livability of Charleston. Your generous support of the Antiques Show allows us to continue our stewardship of the architectural and decorative arts legacy of Charleston and its Lowcountry environs. During this milestone year, the Charleston Antiques Show celebrates the Journey of Design , highlighting a magnificent array of decorative and fine arts, including period furnishings, vintage jewelry, porcelains, silver, and architectural garden accents from the late 17th to the early 20th century. The 2013 Antiques Show has much to offer, from the always elegant Preview Party, to Study Tours, and even a Bloody Mary Sunday. We are delighted that guest speaker Gil Schafer, award-winning classical architect and author of The Great American House will share his thoughts on traditional living in today’s world during the Antiques Show Luncheon. The Charleston Antiques Show kicks off the 66th annual Festival of Houses and Gardens (March 21–April 20). These tours provide a rare opportunity for guests to go inside the private houses and gardens of some of America’s most beautiful historic residences, some dating to the 18th century. Enjoy luncheon lectures, concerts, wine tastings, boat cruises, a gospel brunch, oyster roasts and more. Thank you now and always for your enormously appreciated support. Please enjoy the 10th annual Charleston Antiques Show. Katharine S. Robinson President and CEO
