Maria and William Spears 2015 honorary chairs The Nantucket Historical Association is pleased to recognize Maria and Bill Spears as Honorary Chairs of the 2015 Antiques & Design Show of Nantucket. Maria and Bill demonstrate their exemplary commitment to the NHA in many ways, giving generously and enthusiastically of their time, talents, and material support. From their Platinum support of the Antiques & Design Show to their Mary Gardner Coffin membership to their support of capital and endowment campaigns, the Spears are broadly involved at leadership levels throughout the organization. Maria is an active member of the Development, Campaign Steering, Housing and Properties, and Antiques & Design Show Committees. In 2014, she accepted the NHA’s invitation to join the Board of Trustees. Notably, as members of the Heritage Society,Maria and Bill strive to encourage others to join and support the NHA through planned giving. In this capacity,Maria chairs the Development Committee’s planned giving initiative.The Spears are also members of the Friends of the NHA, which supports the continued development of the NHA’s collections. In addition, the Spears frequently serve as gracious hosts of receptions and dinners at their New York City and Nantucket homes, introducing many wonderful new friends to the NHA. For their loyal and generous involvement, we extend our deep appreciation and gratitude to Maria and Bill Spears.
