Quality of Life Program Naming Gift $2.5 Million — Endow the Quality of Life Program to develop and sustain programs which treat the whole person, not just their disease, for generations to come. Quality of Life Program Development $1-1.5 Million — Enhance patient quality of life through integrative medicine: art and pet therapy, yoga and meditation, Reiki, and more to improve patients’ sense of health and wellness, as well as clinical outcomes. Quality of Life Space $1 Million — Build and furnish a multi-purpose room that will be a designated work and treatment space for the Program. Research and Discovery $500,000 — Pilot innovative ideas and programs emerging from research efforts on how the creative process promotes healthier outcomes—so holistic therapeutic approaches can come to fruition. Salary Support $500,000 — Provide programmatic salary support for recruitment and retention of Healing Arts Program professionals, enhancing its ability to reach more patients. Healing Arts Gallery and Curatorship $350,000 — Support the display of patient, family, and staff art work and exhibitions to promote the power of the healing arts. Equipment and Materials $200,000 — Procure equipment and materials necessary to provide patients with the coping and healing mechanisms integral to the Quality of Life Program. Weekend Retreat $100,000 — Provide a “break from cancer” by offering a fully staffed retreat where programming and services will be focused on mind, body, and spirit renewal for cancer patients and their care givers. Clinical Artist $100,000 — Hire an accredited professional to oversee the Art Therapy component of the Quality of Life Program who will provide patients the opportunity to engage with the expressive arts to effectively cope with their personal cancer journey experiences. Quality of Life Program Support: The minimum donation to create a named fund or structure a gift over five years at the University of Pennsylvania is $25,000 . However, any contribution towards the Quality of Life Program will make a tremendous impact on our ability to improve the health and wellness of our patients.
